With only six days to go until the 2018 Sticklepath Horseshoe Fell Race, here is some important information ahead of the run...
Route
The Sticklepath Fell Race is self navigation, and there is no set 'route'. However, racers must pass through every official checkpoint, in order, to complete the race, but they can take any route they want between these points. However, if you are unsure about the run, you can talk to one of our friendly event organisers who will give you some top tips and inform you of the fastest route.
Weather and Equipment
The current weather forecast for Saturday is for thunderstorms and heavy rain in the morning which should clear out in time for the race start at 1pm. However, it still could be raining during the race so please wear appropriate clothing during the race, and bring a coat to avoid getting wet and cold!
Entry
Pre-entry for the Fell Race is still open until Friday and there are still spaces available so book early to avoid disappointment. However, entry will be available on the day from 10am until 12:30pm in the start and finish field next to Finch Foundry. You just need to turn up, fill in an entry form and pay the entry fee to get a place on the start line!
Dogs
Please note that from this year onwards, runners will not be permitted to race with their dogs, so please do not bring your dog with you on race day or you will not be allowed to race.
